Canadian International School - Discover, Learn and Grow Through CIS School Clubs
Discover the CIS School Clubs Program, where every student chooses clubs to explore their interests, develop new skills and build confidence. Clubs take place every Wednesday during the final period.
At Canadian International School Djibouti, we believe that meaningful education extends beyond textbooks and traditional classroom lessons. Students also need opportunities to explore their interests, discover their talents, develop practical skills and build positive relationships with others.
For this reason, CIS is pleased to introduce its School Clubs Programme for the 2026–2027 academic year. The programme provides students with a wide selection of academic, creative, cultural, leadership, technological and physical activities.
Every Wednesday during the final period, students will participate in their selected club. These activities are included within the school programme and are offered to students at no additional cost.

Students can select from the following clubs:

Creative students can express themselves through Art, Music, Creative Writing, Photography, Movie and Drama, or Journalism. Model United Nations and Student Council will provide leadership opportunities and help students understand responsibility, teamwork and global citizenship.
Sports and Fitness activities will promote healthy habits and cooperation, while the Environmental Club will encourage students to care for their school, community and planet.
One Club for Every Student
Each student must choose one club based on their interests. Parents are encouraged to discuss the available options with their children and help them select the club that best reflects their abilities, curiosity and personal goals.
Students should not select several clubs. They must choose one club only so that they can participate consistently, develop their skills and contribute meaningfully to the club’s activities throughout the programme.
Club participation will provide students with opportunities to:
- Discover new interests and talents
- Develop confidence and independence
- Strengthen communication and teamwork
- Practise leadership and responsibility
- Apply classroom learning in practical situations
- Build friendships with students who share similar interests
- Participate in projects, presentations and school events
- Enjoy a balanced and engaging school experience
The School Clubs Programme is an important part of our commitment to developing well-rounded students. Academic achievement remains essential, but students must also learn how to communicate, collaborate, create, lead and solve real-world problems.
We look forward to seeing every student actively participate, learn new skills and enjoy the experience of belonging to a school club.
Club Schedule
School clubs will take place every Wednesday during the final period of the school day. Each student must choose one club only based on their interests. Club participation is included in the school programme and is offered at no additional cost.
